Colorado Blue Spruce has been a hot ticket item for decades but most yards cannot handle the size of the original tree. Luckily there is a miniature version of the Colorado spruce which tops out of 13ft! The very slow-growing Montgomery Blue Spruce is the perfect addition to a yard that is itching for the blue spruce look without the eventual 80ft that it will top out at. The needles are a beautiful ice-blue color and the tree is very dense. Plant Applications: Use the beautiful blue spruce tree as a feature in your front or back yard and let it catch the attention of people passing by. You will have one of the most unique cultivars of this spruce. It is typically very hard to find but we have a good source that will keep giving.

Growing Requirements in Alberta: This spruce is one of the easiest trees to grow in Alberta and it will not require any special care. Water well during the first couple summers and fertilize when looking for extra growth. The tree is happy with all types of soils and can handle sun or part shade.
