The Princess Kay Plum (Prunus Nigra 'Princess Kay') is a showstopper, almost fruitless, tidy and easy-to-grow native tree. Looking for a beautiul, double white flowering front yard tree? It offers a three-season interest just like the closesly related Muckle Plum. In early spring (typically late May), the Muckle Plum will be covered in masses of double white blossoms which end in a super light pink that give it a look similar to a small Yoshino Japanese Cherry tree. In summer, this tree holds an almost perfect lollipop shape with attractive large green leaves. Finally, in autumn the tree shows off its gorgeous shades of dark red or reds mixed with oranges.
- Mature Size: 15ft x 10ft
- Covered in gorgeous double white flowers at the end of May which gives a Yoshino Japanese Cherry style look.

Growing Requirements in Alberta: This plum is one of the easiest trees to grow in Alberta and it will not require any special care. Water well during the first couple summers and fertilize when looking for extra growth. The tree is happy with all types of soils and can handle sun or part shade.
